History of the College

Government Degree College, Sabbavaram is located in Sabbavaram is a growing semi-urban region expanding itself further into an educational hub. Rightly recognizing the needs of the place, the Government of Andhra Pradesh established our Degree College in the year 2008. Till the starting of this college, the students of lower income group experienced severe hardship for pursuing their higher education. Only a few privileged students could get an opportunity in the leading institutions at Visakhapatnam. The establishment of this college fulfilled the long felt desire of the students who wish to pursue their higher education. The Government established this college with the hard efforts of the people of this land and the local people representatives. The college started its functioning from September, 2008 and catering the higher educational needs of the students who come from poor socio-economic background. The college’s vision and mission are achieving academic excellence through quality education and to empower the students with high human values and skills required for sustainable livelihood.
